The results are in. The cap and gown photos are done. Now someone has to plan the party, and the usual plan is cake, a speech and a lot of standing around. Graduation parties in the UAE are often crowded, hot and over in an hour.
These graduation party activity ideas UAE families and friends can run at home give guests something to do, and give the graduate something to keep.
Why graduation parties fall flat
Most graduation parties happen in June or at the end of the year, so it is either too hot to be outside or too busy to book anywhere. Guests are a mix of ages. Grandparents, cousins, school friends and a few teachers do not naturally mix. Without an activity, the party splits into phones and small talk. Everyone leaves early and the graduate remembers the photos, not the evening.
The fix is a single shared activity that works for a 12 year old cousin and a 70 year old grandmother alike.
The answer: a pottery table with the Sawa Group Kit
The Sawa Pottery Kit gives the party a centre. No wheel. No kiln. No mess beyond a towel. Set the box on a table, hand out the clay, and let guests make a small keepsake for the graduate. Everything arrives in one box with free delivery UAE-wide.
The Group Kit is AED 288 and covers up to four people, so a bigger party might want two kits. The Duo Kit is AED 228 for a small celebration. The Solo Kit is AED 198 as a gift for the graduate to use afterwards.

Six graduation party activity ideas that work at home
1. The keepsake table
Guests shape a small clay piece for the graduate: a dish for their keys, a holder for prayer beads, a tiny trophy, a candle holder for their new desk. Everything is decor only, never for food or drink. Line them up on a shelf at the end. That shelf becomes the memory.
2. Advice cards
Every guest writes one line of advice for the next chapter. Read a few out loud. Put the rest in a box the graduate opens later.
3. A photo timeline
Print ten photos from nursery to now and pin them along a wall. Guests guess the year.
4. The prediction jar
Where will the graduate be in five years? Everyone writes a guess. Seal the jar. Open it in 2031.
5. A short slideshow with music
Ten minutes, not forty. Keep it light.
6. A takeaway piece
Guests take home a small clay piece they shaped, with the graduation date pressed into the base. A party favour that is not a bag of sweets.
How the pottery table runs during a party
Set it up in a corner with a towel and a bowl of water. Show the first two guests how to make a pinch pot and they will teach the rest. Shaping takes 20 to 30 minutes per person. Pieces dry over 24 to 48 hours, so paint and seal them the next day, or send guests home with their piece and a small pot of paint.
When to order
Order the kit at least three days before the party so it arrives with time to spare. Delivery is free across the UAE, from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Sharjah, Ajman and Al Ain. If the party is on a school night, run the pottery table first so guests who leave early still get to take part.

Frequently asked questions
How many kits do I need for a party?
One Group Kit covers four people at the table at a time. For a party of 12 with guests taking turns, two kits is comfortable.
Is it messy?
Air-dry clay wipes off with a damp cloth. A towel on the table is all the protection you need.
Can younger cousins join in?
Yes. Children from around six can shape a pinch pot with a little help. Grandparents enjoy it just as much.
Can the pieces be used for cake or drinks at the party?
No. Air-dry clay is decor only. Keep the pieces for keys, prayer beads, candles and shelf display.
Give the party a centre
Cake gets eaten. Speeches get forgotten. A shelf of small clay pieces made by everyone who came is the part of the graduation the graduate keeps.
