The story

Sawa was started in Dubai by Tariq Sahli and Julia, two engineers who kept noticing the same thing: the evenings they remembered were never the ones spent at a restaurant. They were the ones where a few people sat around a table and made something with their hands. In the UAE that evening meant booking a studio, driving across town and paying for a course, and there was no way to have it at home. So they built one. Sawa launched in April 2026 and now brings that evening to homes across all seven emirates, for couples, families, groups of friends and teams.

What Sawa is for

A date night that is not another restaurant, and works in August when it is 45 degrees outside.
A family afternoon indoors that does not involve a screen.
A gift that is really an evening together, and leaves behind something the person keeps.
Friends, hen parties, birthdays and team evenings, around one table.
